High-Level Dialogue meeting between Syrian and Yemeni Women representatives

In her capacity as Gender Expert, mediatEUr’s Senior Executive Officer, Ms. Kathrin Quesada took part in a High-Level Dialogue meeting between Syrian and Yemeni Women representatives from 4 to 5 December in Brussels. The meeting was jointly organsised by the PRISM division of the EEAS and the FPI in the framework of ERMES 3- the European Resources for Mediation Support which mediatEUr supports to implement. New EEAS Mediation Contract Signed

We are delighted to have signed a four year framework contract on conflict prevention and mediation support for the EU, for which we were chosen together with our partners from swisspeace, ESSEC IRENE, CITpax, ECDPM, and Search for Common Ground. We place importance on delivering more than 'just a service' but place importance on quality control and knowledge management. A former staff member of mediatEUr, Miguel works for AKTEK Ltd. Miguel Varela joined mediatEUr's office in November 2012. He advised mediatEUr on Peace technology, coordinated our Dialogue Support Platform project in Ukraine, and our fact finding project in Ukraine, and assisted several projects, including in the buildup for a European Institute of Peace and the review of the Kyrgyzstan Inquiry Commission.
