Maria Simonyan recently finished the Blue Book traineeship at the European Commission, Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), working on university-business cooperation projects of the Erasmus+ programme. Her academic background is in the EU International Relations and Diplomacy, equally studied at the College of Europe and Estonian School of Diplomacy. She completed a mediation course at the College of Europe, and wrote master thesis on the conflict in and around Ukraine. She is also a co-founder of a youth-led organization, Armenian Progressive Youth NGO, and worked as a project coordinator of various educational projects funded by the European Commission’s Erasmus+/Youth in Action programme. As part of her active engagement in youth policy field, Maria was also a Youth Adviser at the United Nations Youth Advisory Panel (UNYAP) for a year, nominated by the UN Office in Armenia.
