'As approaches and participants to peacemaking are changing, so must the spaces in which conversations about them take place' - Minna Järvenpää

Minna Järvenpää from the Open Society Institute today endorsed the upcoming Open Space event organised by mediatEUr on the creation of a European Institute of Peace:

"As approaches and participants to peacemaking are changing, so must the spaces in which conversations about them take place. It is visionary and brave of the Mediateur team to start an open dialogue about a new European Institute of Peace. I am very sorry to miss the debate!"

Ms Järvenpää is International Advocacy Director for the Open Society Institute. She previously worked with the United Nations, the British Government, and the Crisis Management Initiative. Ms Järvenpää is a member of the informal Advisory Council to mediatEUr's project 'Towards a Framework for a European Institute of Peace', funded by the Finnish and Swedish Ministries of Foreign Affairs.
