The course is part of the catalogue of knowledge-based specialisation courses –and more specifically of its “Conflict Prevention, Peace-Building, and Security Advanced Series”– offered by the European External Action Service (EEAS) and organised by the European Institute of Public Administration. mediateEUr worked with swisspeace and the Center for Peace Mediation on the preparation and delivery of this course.

The trainers touched upon key issues in the field, delivering theoretical background, practical examples from their own experience, operational insights, and a role-play simulation of a mediation case. The course provided participants with sound knowledge, and reviewed the lessons, opportunities and challenges for the European Union in the practice and support of mediation.
