mediatEUr Senior Associate Brendan McAllister shared his experience in peace mediation in a training for the European Security and Defence College's Course on Peacebuilding delivered on the week of 21-28 June 2013.

The Peacebuilding Course was jointly organized by the Austrian Study Centre for Peace and Conflict Resolution (ASPR), the Austrian Ministry of Defence and Sports, and the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) in the framework of the Academic Programme of the European Security and Defence College (ESDC).

It focused –among others– on human security and the basic needs of societies in conflict, the protection and promotion of human rights, and the support of good governance, and aimed at offering the participants a comprehensive peacebuilding approach and a set of skills for the planning and implementation of peacebuilding tasks.
