"The Core of Dialogue: Implications for Ukraine", Second Report of the Dialogue Support Platform

On 28-29 September 2015, following the results from the first meeting, the platform met to expand on some of the challenges identified in July. The meeting brought together 13 women and 10 men working with dialogues in different cities of Ukraine. With representatives from the UNDP and mediatEUr, the group dedicated the first day of work to exploring the meaning and concepts of dialogue, in a workshop facilitated by Brendan McAllister from the United Nations Standby Team.

On the second day, facilitated by Antje Herrberg, Alex Azarov and Miguel Varela, participants discussed conflict issues affecting Ukraine, and the relevance of dialogue practice in addressing them. They also explored ideas on how to maximise the results of dialogue with limited resources and the challenges of participation when designing a dialogue process.
