Training: The Art of Inclusive Mediation

Between 4 and 8 December, 2017, mediatEUr member Kathrin Quesada, together with Joachim Kersten, will provide a training on inclusive mediation to personnel of the German Police and Military, as well as civilians who may be deployed to peace operations in future.

Training participants will gain an understanding of the importance of inclusive processes and the mechanisms to integrate a gender perspective in mediaton and conflict transformation. The programme touches on four general questions:

  • What does inclusive mediation mean in concrete terms?
  • How can a gender perspective be integrated in mediation?
  • Why is inclusive mediation so important for conflict resolution?
  • How can one support efforts in the field?
